Noida: A 30-year-old man allegedly beaten by two parking staff in Sector 18 Market on Sunday.
A video is said to be widely distributed on social media where men can be seen struggling after he parked his vehicle on the side of the road.
Both were arrested, police said.
People who were demonstrated were identified as Chandan Kumar, a resident of Mahagun Manor in Sector 50, Noida Munish Chauhan, Sho, Sector Police Station 20, said the incident occurred between 15:30 and 16:00 on Sunday.
“The man reached the market and went to the store after parking his car along the way.
The place was not marked to park by Noida authorities.
After a while, some parking staff members came, putting a wheel clamp and locking the vehicle,” he said.
“When the man returned and found the vehicle locked, he tried to check with the parking staff.
It caused the argument and Kumar was beaten.
Some people came to help Kumar and then, they told the police,” he added.
The defendant has been identified as a Lokendra, residents of Tappal, and Jatin, from Bulandshahr.
Both of them work under contractors on the market.
“Kumar submitted a written complaint and a non-Kogerabah report (NCR) has been registered with the two men below 323 (voluntarily causing illness) and 504 (intentional insults with the intention of provoking violations of peace) IPC.
They have been arrested,” Sho said .
