Thane: A man was given an anti-rabies injection instead of the Covid-19 vaccine in a medical center in the Thane Maharashtra District.
After this, a doctor and nurse the facility was suspended, said an official.
Rajkumar Yadav went to the Civic-Run Medical Center on Monday to get JAB against Covid-19.
He stood in the wrong queue and after being vaccinated, he was told that he was given a vaccine against Rabies, spokesman Thane Municipal Corporation said on Tuesday.
Yadav panicked at first but he was fine and had no complications, the official said.
He then complained to the authorities and based on a preliminary investigation, a female doctor and a nurse was placed under suspension.
