LONDON: Manchester United and Aston Villa are the latest Premier League clubs that will be influenced by the Coronavirus case outbreak, according to a report on Sunday.
The Premier League clash with Brentford on Tuesday was doubtful after several positive cases were detected among the players and staff on Sunday morning, the BBC reported.
All players involved have been tested negative ahead of Saturday’s 1-0 victory in Norwich.
Training switches to non-contact, exercise individuals outside to prevent the spread of further viruses.
Villa chose to cancel their training sessions on Sundays due to a number of positive cases, according to athletics.
Only one villa player is believed to be positive with more cases among training field staff.
Tottenham’s journey to Brighton, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, was postponed in the week after the plague in the Spurs camp which affected 13 players or staff.
Spurs also faced removed from the European Conference League after a date could not agree to replay their last group match against Rennes.
Leicester has also been affected by seven missing players for 4-0 struggling by Newcastle on Sunday.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has called for clarity how many positive cases needed for the match are postponed.
