LONDON: Manchester United has completed the transfer of British winger Jadon Sancho from the Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund, the Premier League club announced on Friday.
Both clubs have reached an agreement to transfer earlier this month, with Dortmund say United will pay 85 million euros ($ 100 million) for 21 years old.
“I will always thank Dortmund for giving me the opportunity to play the first team football, even though I always know that I will return to England one day,” Sancho, a former young player at Rivals United Manchester City, told the club website.

He scored 16 goals and made 20 assists in 38 matches for Dortmund in all competitions in the 2020-21 season, forming a deadly partnership with the abundant Norwegian striker Haaleland.
The duo helped Dortmund qualify for the Champions League with the third finishing in the Bundesliga and also won the German Cup.
Sancho has 22 caps for England since making his debut in 2018, but only played three matches for the Gareth Southgate team at Euro 2020, where they lost in penalties to Italy in the final.
He is one of three English players, All Black, who missed their kick in the final and then experienced racist abuse online.
Comments encouraged police investigations and brought extensive criticism.
Additional Sancho will strengthen United’s right wing as the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team to challenge the Premier League title after completing the second last season, 12 points behind the Champions Manchester City.
They started their new league campaign with a home match against Leeds United on August 14.
