Hyderabad: A controversy broke out in Tollywood days before the film Artistes Association (MAA) went to poll on October 10, paying postal papers for the use of senior actors who might not be able to come to give their voices physically.
According to the norm, the cost of Rs 500 will be paid for ballot papers, which will be sent to the artist’s house at the address they live in.
Prakash Raj who was angry, flanked by actor Srikanth and actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar, questioned the propriety of the Vishnu panel in depositing the amount on behalf of the artist who would send voting paper.
“The number of lumpsum is paid.
It only shows that individuals who on behalf of them pay money will be influenced to choose them,” Prakash Raj was charged.
While raising this problem, Prakash Raj dragged the names of several seniors in the film industry who demanded that they respond to what happened.
He said the number had been paid even on behalf of the Chairman of the Discipline Committee Krishnam Raju, Veteran Hero Krishna, Paruchuri Brothers, Senior Actress Sharada and Actor Sharath Babu.
“I asked Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and all seniors to react to developments in the election process.
There is no fair game in the election.
This is tragic and unacceptable,” he said.
The officer who returned Krishnamoh said RS 28,000 that someone had deposited on behalf of senior citizens because their voice paper had been returned.
“We have told the senior actors of bank accounts that they can send money and they have to do it individually,” he said.
Giving clarifications to someone related to Wisnu deposited this number, Krishnamohan said Wisnu had told him that he was in contact with senior citizens to explain to them about postal polling facilities and how someone associated with him had deposited the number of these people.
Manchu Wisnu reacted sharply with what Prakash Raj said.
“Don’t you dare to drag my family into your criticism.
This is my last warning to you,” he said.
He also questioned Jeevitha Rajasechar because he asked the actor to ignore the call made by his father Mohan Babu to choose him.
“My father can find a sound on my behalf.
What’s wrong?” He asked.
