AJMER/JAIPUR: The Bhilwara device of ACB on Monday detained Mandalgarh Nagar Palika’s chairman for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 4.20 lakh.
The accused has been demanding it because his 23 percent commission instead of clearing pending statements of their infrastructure projects from the nagar palika region.
A complainant approached the ACB and stated Sanjay Dangi was demanding a commission for draining each little and large invoice.
The complainant was not able to give into Dangi’s requirements.
Dangi is an area businessman that won the election as an Independent however has been encouraged by BJP.
“We put a snare after verifying that the criticism and captured Dangi for taking the bribe of Rs 4.20 lakh.
Before he had approved Rs 30,000,” stated BL Soni, director general, ACB.
Soni included that ACB teams also have pioneered search operations in Dangi’s residential and office premises.
“We’ve gathered some incriminating files to assist us in the event of Prevention of Corruption Act against the accused,” he added.
ACB officials stated that the facts of the searches could be shared when they create additional recoveries in the situation.
