Mandatory Covid Vaccination in Singapore Starting February 2022

Singapore: Singapore has made Covid vaccination.
Mandatory conditions for approval of new applications for work trajectories, long-term trajectories and permanent residence in Singapore from February 1 next year.
Those who renew their work must also be vaccinated, The Straits Times reported, citing the Multi-Ministry (MMTF) Task Force in Covid.
The new order will not apply to children under 12 and those who are medically unqualified for vaccination, he said.
The new size, announced on Sunday, is part of the nation’s adjustment to deal with Omicron variants.
“These steps will help maintain high vaccination levels and facilitate the safe reopening of our society and our economy,” said Singapore Daily quoting MMTF.
At the point of application, the employer must make a declaration that the holders of their work forces and dependents are fully vaccinated on arrival in Singapore.
Pass job holders must submit or present their vaccination certificate as part of the verification process.
Those who have a certificate that can be verified digitally must upload it to the portal system check the vaccination of immigration authorities and checkpoints.
Those without a digitally verified certificate must present their vaccination certificate to airline or ferry operator, or at the checkpoint, before going up.
People who cannot produce required documents will not be allowed to get on a plane or enter Singapore, except the previous exception has been given.
Individuals who are vaccinated abroad must renew their vaccination records in the National Immunization Registry (NIR) and will be given a 30-day grace period on arrival in Singapore to undergo and show the results of positive serological tests taken at the Community Health Preparedness Clinic.
“Should they test the negative, they will be asked to complete the full vaccination regimen in Singapore or their pass can be revoked,” said the task force.
The dependence of the work holder, the condition of vaccination will not apply to 12-year-old children.

Vaccination conditions will not apply to permanent residence, long-term passes and student pass applicants for those under 12 years old, and those who are medically not qualified for vaccination.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has warned that unbaccinated workers will no longer be allowed to return to work from January 15, even if they have a negative pre-event testing results (pets).
The ministry said in October that unbaccinated people would not be allowed to enter the workplace from January 2022, unless they had been tested negatively for Covid-19.
“After the review and discussion with Tripartite partners, we have decided to remove pet concessions for people who are not vaccinated to return to work from January 15, 2022,” The Channel News Asia quoted Moh said.
Workers who have been taken, those who have taken at least one dose of vaccines but have not been fully vaccinated, will be given a grace period until January 31 to complete the vaccination regime, the ministry said.
During the grace period, they can enter their work with negative pet results.
