New Delhi: Minister of Health Union Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a meeting on Thursday with health ministers from all states and trade union states to look forward to campaign ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ to ensure vaccination of all adults who do not have the first dose of the covid vaccine Too late for their second dose.
The meeting will be held virtually in the morning, the official source said on Wednesday.
This is a continuation of the Narendra Modi Prime Minister’s Meeting on November 3 with district judges and health officials from 45 districts in 12 states and the United States where the first dose coverage is less than 50 percent.
About 79.2 percent of Indian adult populations have received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine, while more than 37 percent of the countries around 94 adult populations of crore have been given at doses, according to the Ministry of Health officials.
The top five states that have given the highest number of doses are Uttar Pradesh followed by Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
The Ministry of Health has also written to several states and the United States asking them to prioritize the second dose to beneficiaries that have not been inoculated with a second shot even after the end of the interval determined between two doses, the sources said.
The government recently launched a ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign during the month for the Covid-19 House-to-house vaccination of those who had not taken the dose and also those with the second dose were too late.
