Mandya Farmers Gherao Ashoka for Violence

Shrinivasa M & BK Lakshmikanhamsuru / Mandya: Revenue Minister R Ashoka on Monday faced the anger of farmers and Dalit activists in Srirangapatna when he tried to skip them before leaving the city of the temple.
The minister was in Srirangapatna to commit Puja to Covid victims at the Temple of Rangatha Swamy.
When he left, the farmers tried to meet him, but the minister entered the vehicle.
While the driver tried to move, the agitator blocked the vehicle forced the minister to go down and meet them.
They registered their protest against BJP accused him of inciting Lakhimpur Kheri’s violence and caused problems for Mandya cane farmers.
All began at around 1:30 a.m.
when a group of members of Raitha Sangha and Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti arrived near the temple, looking for meetings with Ashok.
They began to become a sloganeering against BJP for the actions of controversial agricultural reform, Uttar Pradesh’s violence, and the problems faced by sugar cane farmers.
Around 2pm, Ashok arrived at the Venue.
Instead of holding talks with the agitators, he decided to leave the place.
Upset with this, the agitator began shouting slogans against him and BJP, while party activists tried to clear the road for the minister’s car which leads to a small fight.
Agitators sit on the road and announce that they will not move until Ashok gets off the vehicle and listens to their problems.
Without another option, Ashok descended from his car and received a memorandum from the agitator.
Agitator urged Ashok to ensure that all sugar factories in the district were revived.
They also asked him to start the earliest sugar cane crushing unit.
The minister assured that he would talk to the minister’s chairman in this regard.
Raitha Sangha Pandu District Secretary Unit informed that the confusion applies when BJP activists try to encourage them from the road.
“We held peaceful protests.
The country farmers and sugar cane mandya farmers are in a deep crisis.
We want to lift our voices,” he said.
Ashok left the venue at 2.30 Sm.Clamour grew up to Resignataka Ajay Mishrakarnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha President Badagalapura Nagendra on Monday demanding an investigation by a highest court who assessed violence.
Speaking to reporters, Nagendra demanded that the Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra must be expelled from his cabinet and his son, who allegedly responsible for killing eight farmers, must be arrested.
Nagendra said the farmers would protest near the bandipalya by protest against the murder of the farmers above.
“We will block the highway in protest against the incident.
We will also protest in front of the parliamentary member’s office,” he said.
He also threatened to protest in front of the DC office on October 7 when the Dasara Festivity was inaugurated by BJP leader BC Krishna, if the dispute acquired.
From farmers by the Gulf company in Kochanahalli were not immediately resolved.
