Mangaluru: List of Ward Draft Committee published by Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Monday, has been suggested by the Dakshina Kannada District Congress, who accused the corporate commissioner to submit the powerful will of the party.
Former Mla J R Lobo on Wednesday mocked the design, alleged that the list looked like a commissioner was a twisted arm including 90% of 600 people, at 60 BJP committees, from BJP.
“This is contrary to the provisions of the corporation of the city of Karnataka (amendment),” he said, and accused MLA local suppressing Commissioner.
MCC has received more than 1,200 applications from residents, to become members of the Environmental Committee to be formed at 60 wards.
Lobo questioned the commissioner, why almost 600 applications are rejected, without assigning any reason, thus defeating the principles of natural justice.
