Mangaluru: It was a unfortunate trip for a team of around 10 motorcyclists from Kowdichar near Putture, after one driver died in an accident on Monday.
An officer from the Belthangady Traffic Police Station allegedly accelerated as the cause of the accident.
The officer said the deceased was Manoj Kumar, 20.
The incident occurred when Manoj along with Yogish as a pillion, riding a bicycle towards Hassan.
In the curve, he might lose control of the vehicle and the motorbike was dragged for almost 25 feet and stopped before a container truck that arrived from Bengaluru in Yenjira in the village of Rekya.
The initial investigation showed the container driver stopping the vehicle to see two-wheeled vehicles, and the bike reached the container and stopped.

Meanwhile, Chetan, a driver, who was almost one kilometer in front of the crash point, heard about the incident rushed back.
When his bicycle slipped on the road, he suffered an injury and was being hospitalized.
