Mangaluru: Covid-19 Straightening Curve in Dakshina Kannada has reached a lump after a para-medical college on the outskirts of Mangaluru is stated as ‘detention zone’ – this is the first area to be declared the detention zone in more than a month.

So far we have collected samples from 173 students that we identified as the main and secondary contacts of those infected.
All 173 samples have been tested negatively for Covid-19.
However, all the main contacts have also been quarantined, while food is supplied to all people who have been isolated.
“Of the nine cases reported at the Medical College, three reported on Saturday, while four students were confirmed infected on Sundays and two were found positive for Coronavirus novels on Monday.
“We will collect swab samples from nine students and subjugate them to RT-PCR tests again after a week,” said Dr.
Ashok.
Nodal officers remember the Covid infection outbreak in Navodaya Vidyalaya in Dakshina Kannada, where 16 people were tested positive for Coronavirus novels between 15 and 28 November.
“The Ministry of Health collects swabs from 231 main contacts in the institution.
Until now are three active cases in educational institutions,” he said.

Commissioner Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) Akshy Sridhar said, “The students are tested on the command of MCC, because the direction has been spent to make everyone returning to Dakshina Kannada from Kerala in the last 15 days.”
