Mangaluru: A 19-year-old B tech student was found dead in a dorm room in Mangaluru, a police said on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Sourav Kumar Yadav, a electrical and electronic engineering student at the National Institute of Technology, Karnology, Karnataka (NITK) and native Bihar.
According to the City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, the financial crisis may have forced young people to take this extreme step.
The Commissioner also interacts with college authorities and students.
The police also recovered the death notes aimed at the victim’s father.
Kumar added that in the record of death, the victim asked his father to pay off his education loan worth Rs 1 Lakh.
He has a 46,000 Rs in his account and asked his father to pay off the loan as early as possible will be calculated as possible.
He then wrote that he would go crazy and would go crazy and get rid of life easily.
The 19-year-old child increasingly stated that no one else was responsible for his death.
He pursued his education after taking an educational loan and fear that when he completed his education, the loan expense would only increase.
He wasn’t sure if he would get a job after finishing his studies and maybe facing mental pressure, Kumar said further.
Around 8 am when his friends tried to call him for breakfast, he did not open the door.
Around 9:30 a.m., when they again tried to reach him and peered through the window, they found him hanging in the room.
College authorities were later informed, which in turn reached out their parents.
Because he came from a poor family, his parents reportedly stated that they were not in a position to travel to Mangaluru and asked the authorities to cremate.
However, college authorities, faculty and students established and have arranged the travel of the victim’s parents and looked into the arrangement to shift mortal remain back home after completion of the legal process, the commissioner was further added.
