Mangaluru: City Police have arrested four people in connection with the brutal gang rape and the murder of an eight-year-old girl at a tile factory at the rural Mangaluru police station.
The arrests have been identified as Jayban alias Jaisingh (21), Mukesh Singh (20), Meunem Singh (20) from Madhya Pradesh and Manish Tikri (33) from Jharkhand.
The city police commissioner said on Wednesday that the incident took place on November 21, when the victim played with his brother and female in the compound of the tile factory.
The accusation took the girl to their room and allegedly attacked the girl alternately.
When he began screaming in pain and bleeding, they strangled him and left him in the channel.
The girl was reported missing since noon.
However, the parents of the victims were originally migrant workers told the police that they realized that their daughter disappeared around 4pm on Sunday and began looking for it.
Around 6pm, he was found in the sewer.
His mortal remains shift to Wenlock’s hospital.
The police have questioned more than 20 people so far, especially the tile factory staff.
