Mangaluru: Main District and Judge Muralidhar Pai B have punished and sentenced Vinod, 36, up to three years in prison, and slapped the fine of Rs 1.1 Lakh, because to try to kill his wife.
Public Prosecutor Raju Poojary Bannadi told the media on Wednesday that on April 13, 2018, Vinod’s wife advised him to start working, because they found it difficult to make a living.
Angry with this, he left home and returned on April 27.
Upon returning, his wife asked him where he was, and asked him to pay rent.
In anger, he stabbed him in their rented apartment in Attavar, and fled after removing the threat of death.
The case is registered at the South Mangaloru Police Station.
The court examined 13 witnesses.
