Mangaluru International Airport bounced back by restarting more than flights

Mangaluru: Mangaloru International Airport bounces back both in terms of increasing the burden of passengers and flight movements.
In the past few days, Mia has also restarted the old flight route – domestic and international.
The source in the aviation industry shows that with sidewalk travel easing in India and abroad, various airlines returned from Mia to various destinations.
“Air traffic is expected to increase further in the festival season starting from Ganesh Chaturthi,” Industrial Source said.
Air India has increased the frequency of flights to Mumbai and Coimbatore, while the subsidiary of Air India Express has restarted several flights and connects the Middle East.
Private Air Carrier Indigo has restarted his flight to Sharjah after the UAE government allowed the trip to the country.
It also started additional flights to Hyderabad when traffic was picked up substantially throughout India.
On Thursday, Spicejet returned flights between Dubai and Mia.
In September, flights will be operated twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays, said a senior spicejet executive.
The latest domestic passenger data shows that 26,067 passengers departed from MIA in August compared with 18,557 departures in July, thus showing a spike of 40.5%.
Likewise, 26,732 passengers arrived in August in Mia from various domestic purposes compared to 19,744 passengers in July – up 35.4%.
Passenger flow, especially internationally, is expected to increase in the coming weeks because more goals are open in the Middle East with the launch of RT-PCR facilities that are fast in Mia.
Offers added in August Air India Express will operate flights to Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Thiruvananthapuram from Mangaluru International Airport.
Indigo will operate flights to Hyderabad and Sharjah and Air India will operate daily flights to Mumbai and Coimbatore.
