MANGALURU: The Kanara Chamber of Commerce of Industry (KCCI) has asked the district government to loosen specific lockdown constraints article June 7 to help keep the company afloat.
In a memorandum submitted to district ministry Kota Shrinivas Poojari, KCCI asked the district to allow all business establishments to function using a 50 percent workforce.
They also have asked the authorities to allow all businesses to work and because the current bank timings are inconvenient, so it could be revised to 2 am to 12 pm to match both trade and general public.
KCCI president Isaac Vas stated that while thinking about the functioning of the lockdown, the authorities could revise the workplace timings (decreased or staggered working hours) when necessary.
Additionally, the weekend curfew could be levied for a couple more weeks until the complete positivity rate and overall oxygen mattress occupancy are in manageable limits.
KCCI has appreciated that the government’s conclusion of lockdown taking into consideration the seriousness of this circumstance.
Although the lockdown has largely been effective across the District by the medical viewpoint, the commerce and trade have been hit hard, and several sectors are bleeding through that lockdown period.
On the flip side, the frequent person has been affected greatly in this age.
But on a positive note, in the past couple of times, Dakshina Kannada has witnessed a fall in the covid instances being reported.
The summit of approximately 1,500 times daily was reduced to approximately 750 cases each day.
The vaccination drive from the district can be picking up.
