Mangaluru: With coastal districts preparing for the Dasara and Navaratri festival starting October 7, the district government has made a mandatory Covid-19 vaccination certificate for worshipers entering the temple.
The district government has directed the Temple Committee to take the initiative through each negative health officer to establish a vaccination center at the temple place for worshipers who came without receiving vaccines.
Deputy Commissioner Dr.
KV Rajendra said the temple must regulate the Dasara in a very simple way and ensure that the celebration does not lead to an increase in the capititiveness of the 19th Covid test in the district.
“Heavyers must be allowed to enter the temple only if they show a vaccination certificate for both doses.
The Ministry of Health will set the vaccine center at the temple location.
The public should not gather in large quantities during the festival,” he said, adding that permission would not be given for procession and meeting public during the festival.
“All programs that violate social distances have been banned.
The Candi Committee must get permission from each of their local bodies.
Cultural programs can be held by limiting people’s entry of 50% of the auditorium seat capacity.
The Festival Committee must regulate direct transmission through various media for The convenience of people.
Likewise, the temple must place a digital display screen so that the worshipers can watch rituals and programs from a distance, “DC said.
Tiger dance, which is closely related to the Navaratri festival in the coastal district, is permitted with motorists.
DC said the tiger dance group must ensure social distance while appearing in temples and public places.
“The official team will be deployed at the temple place to monitor violations.
The punishment will be imposed on those who violate the appropriate Covid behavior.
Further actions will also be taken under the Karnataka disaster management law, the Karnataka Epidemic Law and the IPC,” he warned .
