Manipal: Anil Rana took over as the 11th Director of the Manipal Technology (MIT) Institute on Friday.
Dr.
Ranana replaced Dr.
D Srikanth Rao who completed his term as MIT director, Manipal.
The ceremony submitted was held in the council, MIT, Manipal before the representative of Chancellor, Mahe Lt.
General (DR) MD Venkatesh, Dr.
Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Mahe, Dr.
Somashekar Bhat, Joint Director, MIT and MIT member.
After the signature was pasted, a sandalwood youth was handed over to Dr.
Rana, as a symbol of submitting MIT control.
Felicitation is specifically made for director out D Srikanth Rao.
Dr.
Ranana is a former Indian naval commander from the engineering branch who has a record-leading service in the Navy and the field of education.
He graduated from the College of Engineering Naval, Lonavala in 1992.
He gained his master from IIT Delhi in 1999 and the PhD from IIT Mumbai.
Posting Navy services, Dr.
Ranana served as a professor (Mechanical Engineering) at Jemrc University, Jaipur from 2012 to 2013.
He has served as Associate Dean (Higher Education and Research) and Professor Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Fiji, Fiji Islands from 2013 – 2018.
Dr.
Ranana served as Dean (academics) and professors in the symbiosis skills and professional universities, Pune from 2018 to 2019.
He has served as Dean and Professor, Manufacturing Faculty of Manufacturing Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU), Jaipur from April 2019 to February 2021.
