Imphal: Seuti Film Production based in Manipur, which began to function for its latest production, “Mirabai Chanu”, has registered the title of this film with the Manipur Forum film (FFM).
Biopic was based on the life of the Tokyo Olympic medal 2020 Saikhom Mirabai Chanu, who won silver in the 49 kg category on a woman’s weightlifting on July 24, thus opening the calculation of the Indian first medal.
Registration was conducted at the Forum Lamphelpat Office here on Thursday in front of his chairman BC Mangoljo, the author of the MM and Director of Manai Meira Director.
FFM Chair S Mangoljao, stating that the Forum Executive Committee will extend support for biopical production, wanting the production of a large success film in the effort.
The statement issued by FFM said the forum has decided that every film production company based outside Manipur must get earlier permission from the forum to make films based on the lives of famous personality and other stories that describe Manipur’s art and culture.
Biopic will describe Mirabai’s journey, a resident of Nongpok Kakching in the Eastern District Imphal, from his childhood to his Tokyo Olympics, said Manaiobi film writer.
This film, which will be dubbed and dubbed in English and other regional languages, will also be infused with the cultural and traditional Ethos of Manipur, which is added.
The 26-year-old weightlifting star expressed his desire that the role in biopics must be played by an actress from a country that looks like him.
So, the film company will start a screening campaign to hunt Mirabai Lookayang in Manipuri, Meira said.
After a suitable girl was chosen, she would take part in an acting course in Mirabai Village for about six months, Meira said, adding that the new project shooting would begin after the actor stopped his skills and became ready for the camera.
