Patna: Former Head of CM and Hindustani Awam Morcha (secular) Jitan Ram Manjhi on Friday with the adoption of “Gujarat Model” prohibited liquor in Bihar, and also requested CM Nitish Kumar to relax the legal prohibition in the country.
“I can say that the prohibition applies in Gujarat.
Mahatma Gandhi comes from Gujarat.
It was Gujarat where the prohibition policy was imposed as an experiment.
However, liquor is available for the license holder there,” said Manjhi to MediodPersons.
“Bihar must adopt the Gujarat model.
In Bihar, the law of liquor must be relaxed.
The license holder must be allowed to drink small amounts of liquor, as they take medicine,” added Manjhi.
