Hindi Film Lirikis Manoj Muntashir is in a growing twitter storm center on Thursday with several colleagues in the industry and the others slammed it because of a “seed of hatred” in a video where he compared the Mughal Emperor to “Dacoits”.
Muntashir, who has written lyrics for films such as “Kesari” and Ajay Release the latest OTT Devn, has uploaded a controversial video titled “Who are your ancestors” on Twitter on August 24.
Some people, including Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri filmmakers, also speak their support.

One minute video has it on the screen states that the country has been brainwashed and the road is named after “glorified dacoits” such as Akbar, Humayun and Jehangir.

The 45-year-old player from Madhya Pradesh dropped Shukla from his name to take “Muntashir”, which means ‘scattered’ or ‘Disband’, according to the RekHTA dictionary.
“Massion” Director of Neeraj Ghaywan criticized him for his poetry and said, “Bigotry is mixed with caste!”
Fellow lyrics and writers Scenario Mayur Puri added that the author should not act as supporters of hatred with their work.

Husain Heidry, another lyricist, claiming this is not the first time Muntashir “spread hatred or hatred” and it won’t be the last.

Adding his voice to the debate, historian Irfan Habib said it was disappointing to meet a writer like Muntashir “spit venom” and used “doubting and imaginary arguments as history”.
One Twitter user wrote that “mediocre artists” participated in anti-Muslim “hate-mongering” to advance their careers.
The part on Twitter came out to support Muntashir and argued that the author only reminded people of the “actual history” of the country and Mughal.
Agnihotri movie maker tweeted, “Manoj Muntashirs always expresses his perspective without fear in his poetry and public discourse.
If you stupid does not mean he has changed suddenly.”
In his video, Muntashir also refers to the names of the gods issued from the history textbook and asks how people can call Emperor Mughal “King Noble” when they have “people who are slaughtered” on behalf of religion.
He said people had to choose their heroes and criminals without biased caste.
