New Delhi: The National Commission for Child Rights Protection (NCPCR) has been seeking responses from NCERT within seven days of complaints against the Master’s Manual Training Committee and alleged conspiracy for student traumatism.
In the letter to the Director of NCERT, Head of NCPCR Priyank Kanoongo has said that the Commission has received a complaint about the contents of the teacher training manual – Slusion of transgender children in school education: Concerns and roadmaps – published by the Gender Study Department in Ncert.
Kanoongo said highlighting complaints that manual text showed gender neutral infrastructure (such as public toilets) for children, not worth the gender reality and their basic needs.
Safe! You have managed to throw your voteogin to see the results, worth the sex assigned their birth.
The complainants have raised concerns that this approach will describe children for unnecessary psychological trauma because of the contradictory environment at home and at school.
“This is also highlighted in the manual that the teacher is advised to discuss with students about puberty blockers and its availability for adolescents.
Furthermore, the background and qualification of members of the preparation committee is not verified,” NCPCR said complaints.
“This complaint is being forwarded to you for your comments and to take appropriate action in improving anomalies in the document,” Kanoongo said.
