Jaipur: Not just green firecrackers, but all types of firecrackers are sold on the market.
On the occasion of Dhanteras on Tuesday, people look pampering the walled city and other markets to buy crackers.
The traders said from the afternoon, they watched stable legs from customers and hoped that the sale of firecrackers would get momentum from Wednesday.
Some shop owners looked selling firecrackers produced in 2020.
The government has given conditional permits for firecrackers with certain indications to sell only green firecrackers that have less than 100 decibos.
“Green firecrackers have a limited number of varieties.
For items such as atomic bombs, Ganga Jamuna and many others, you have to get a manufacturing item that is not marked as green crackers.
We only serve customer needs,” said a firecracker wholesale dealer on the city market walled.
Also, customers don’t really want to buy green firecrackers.
“When I was a child, Bursting firecrackers were used to start a week before Diwali.
Now it’s just a matter of one day.
So, I have a firecracker having a lights and sounds of both,” said Nikhilesh Agarwal, who looked choosing crackers at the wholesale store in Kishanpole Bazaar.
Mustafa Saeed, a firecracker wholesale dealer at the expensive Eve Market, said a sudden increase in the number of customers was seen on Tuesday.
“If we have to compare it with previous years, interest in burst firecrackers of course down.
However, we have started watching a good number of customers on Tuesday.
Hopefully sales will get more momentum on Wednesday,” Saeed added.
