Many schools in B’luru shift to regular classes

With Covid-19 cases continues to dip, many private schools in Bengaluru, which until now offer an online class or hybrid settings, switch fully to mode on campus.
Regular classes for class 9-12 starting from August 23 and from September 6 for class 6-8.
However, most private schools continued with online classes as parents alert to send their children to school.
Others offer a hybrid model where the teachers immediately turn to those who are online.
Now, parents say many schools have issued circulars who say children must come to school after the Dasara break.
“It is very difficult for teachers to continue the classrooms online and offline,” said D Shashi Kumar, Secretary, Primary and Secondary School Association of Karnataka.
“Some schools do not have human resources or infrastructure for hybrid settings, and teachers are burdened because they double work for them.
With a reduction case, some schools have asked students to come to class.” Government schools and many budget schools have continued the oncampus class.
But some parents of students in private schools are worried about sending their wards to school.
Transportation is their biggest problem.
“The car driver who used to transport my child has left the city and we are still trying to find transportation for my daughter.
BMTC buses are too risky because of the crowd,” said the parents from South Bengaluru.
R Vishal, Commissioner of Public Instruction, said: “Regular class is the default option.
However, we understand some parents worry.
If the school has resources to manage online and offline classes, I don’t think we have to interfere constitutionally.
But our intention Not to just provide online class.
Students lose one and a half years and social skills that come with school.
I’m not sure whether online yourself will help anyone.
“On the problem of school, online class scrapping, he said:” This is a school that doesn’t have Adequate resources to do regular and online classes.
It is a conscious decision.
Faster parents and school ecosystems decide this, the better for everyone.
“Regular classes in government schools are in full swing now.
The Public Instruction Department has also requested permission to continue the classroom for the primary part of November 2.
Midday Meals will be available starting October 21.
