The plan will be executed on August 3, which is the last day of the martyr which was observed by CPI (Maois) in Bihar and other left-wing countries affected.
Nandan Mandal, a Maoist worker who was alleged from Maois, had made a phone call to his brother-in-law at Ghogha, Bhagalpur, on August 3 night and told him at least four times during their conversation that Maoists would blow up the Bhagalpur train station.
.
Knowing that his call was being intercepted, Nandan called Bhagalpur Station just to distract personnel and security agents from the Jamalpur train station and nearby tunnels in Munger, their main target, Munger ASP (operation) Raj Kumar Kumar Raj on Friday told Tii Phone , He said that Maois had planned to get off the hill to blow up Jamalpur and tunnels and kidnap RPF men who looked after them.
“The Special Task Force of Police Bihar has intercepted Nandan’s call to his brother-in-law.
He traced immediately in Munger and was detained because of the interrogation where he revealed the maoist plot, which was thwarted,” said ASP.
“It might have been a big problem, they succeeded.
Maois has planned to demand a few crores from the government to release the RPF man, if kidnapped.
They have done receptions and knowing that two men keep the tunnel at a time in a different shift,” he said .
He said during the interrogation, Nandan claimed to have called the Commander of the Maoist Bahadur Kora area, who lived in Bukit Kharagpur with armed cadres.
“Bahadur will come down from the hill with a gunman to execute the plot.
However, Nandan cannot be connected with Bahadur and they cannot reach time.
Until then security personnel traced Nandan near the Amjhar hill in Munger and detained him to be interrogated,” he said.
The police station Bariarpur Sho Amrendra Kumar said Nandan was arrested on Thursday.
A gun, two live cartridges and maoist letters are recovered on their confession from the forest.
“A pine against Nandan, Vijay Rajah, Bahadur alias Nakul and other unknown Maois have been registered at the Bariarpur Police Station to hatch the conspiracy to blow up the Jamalpur train station, a tunnel and Kulut RPF,” Sho said.
Sho said Vijay was arrested in another case in Munger in June.
He said Vijay and Nandan used to often meet Balahadur and supply other food and logistics.
“Nandan was promised a good prize if the plan was successful,” he said.
Meanwhile, ASP said the conspiracy hatched in a meeting at Vijay’s house in Bariarpur a few months ago.
“Vijay is also a Maoist OGW.
Nandan is his right hand.
There are at least four men who attended the meeting,” he added.
