Raipur: Police Sukma has arrested a Maoist who was sought by Chhattisgarh and Telangana police for the murder of 13 security personnel.
Tiger Husa, who with MAOIS for 21 years, was arrested during search operations in Palodi forests in the Sukma District on July 25, police said.
He operated in the Kistaram area and was involved in several attacks on troops on the border of the two countries.
Sukma SP Sunil Sharma said Husa was a “big catch”, and the police tried to extract the details of the Maoist strategy and the connection.
Hunga has joined Maois in 2001 as a member of Bal Sangham under Suryam Anna.
For the next six years, he was trained in the IED and handling weapons, and then became the Head of Dandakyarya Kisan Majdoor Sangh in the Kariguda region.
He made a commander Jan Militia in 2011 after that he began attacking security forces.
He is now in a prison guard.
