Maoist sympathizers ordered under UPA

Coimbatore: City police ordered C Veeramani, 73, from Rayanallur in Cuddalore District under the law of the law (prevention) that violated the law, 1967 on Tuesday based on the interview he gave to last year’s media outlet.

Police sources said that Veeramani had been a supporter of Maoist clothing for a long time and several cases had been registered with him in Tamil Nadu because he openly supported the forbidden organization and often spoke against the sovereignty of the state.
Veeramani was arrested by the Q branch police in May 2015.
He was released from the coimbatore center prison in August 2020 after spending five years there, with BEA duties.
After his release, he stayed at Ukkadam.
