Nagpur: Bardo, Marathi films produced together by famous Embriyat from the city, Dr.
Nishad Chimote, received the best Marathi film award at the 67th National Film Award served in New Delhi on Monday.
‘Bardo’ directed by Bhimrao Mude, who received the Rajat Kamal for the film, had several Nagpur connections.
The actress and writing of famous actresses from the city, Shweta Pendse, have written scenarios and dialogue for films while Rohan Software Engineer Gokhale is one of the director of music.
The manufacturer’s team attended the award function on Monday.
Dr.
Chimote said he had no words to express joy.
“This award was announced for months back and we were waiting at this time.
We prefer to bring a national film award to Nagpur and Vidarbha,” said Dr.
Chimote.
Besides being a leading embryology, Dr.
Chimote runs ‘Panjanya’ which invests in film production.
Dating said that the basic storyline was very interesting so he enjoyed writing a scenario.
“In some Buddhism schools, Bardo is a medium state, transition or liminal between death and rebirth.
It is an extraordinary experience to write something after death and before the birth of a person’s next, when a person’s consciousness is not connected to the physical body,” Pentedi said.
He also wrote the lyrics for one of the songs.
“Singer Savanie Ravindrra won the best singer playback award for the same song that brought a double pleasure to me,” he said.
Bardo actor team includes popular names such as Makarand Deshpande, Anjali Patil, Ashok Samarth and a Pendse.
