Marathwada Region Records Excess Rainfall

Aurangabad: Marathwada, which is considered a drought-prone area in Maharashtra, has received rainfall of 1,041.5 mm during the rainy season this year with an average of 679.5 mm, while the parts continue to be pounded by heavy rain, a Saturday official said.
This region has received 153.27 percent rainfall so far, he said.

The highest rainfall of 107.25 mm was recorded in the Vihamandwa circle of Paitan Teabasil in Aurangabad Regency in 24 hours ending 12 nights on Saturday,” said the Official of the Revenue Department .
The official said that rainfall above 65 mm was recorded in 12 circles in the Aurangabad District, Beed, Jalna and Parbhani starting on Friday.
