Aurangabad: Marathwada, known as a drought prone area, has released a 509 TMC water record towards Telangana from a different dam overflowing this season, said Godavari officials Marathwada Irrigation Corporation (GMIDC) on Thursday.
It has linked a surplus shower in this region this year.
The release of water is the highest of Marathwada and almost a third of the entire Live storage designed by a combined dam of the Dam Different in Maharashtra (1,440 TMC).
Records of water release also more than six live storage of Live Dam Jayakwadi, which is one of the largest dams in the state, and almost double the cumulative storage (260.3TMC) of different dams in Marathwada.
