Mariyappan will be an Indian flag carrier in Tokyo Paralympics

Mumbai: Mariyappan ThangaveLu, Rio 2016 gold medalist in the men’s high jump category, has been named the Indian contingent captain in Tokyo Paralympics 2020, set to be held from August 25-September 5.
In the Rio 2016 game, Mariyappan jumped to the center of attention by jumping 1 , 89 meters, making it a moment of landmark for India at the Olympics.
As a sign of achievement, the Indian Paralympics Committee (PCI) has decided to make a bearer of the Indian flag in Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
The source in PCI was confirmed to TOI that the strong contingent of 24 players, including four female athletes, had been resolved in athletics for the match.
After the shape was dipped briefly, T Mariyappan again showed several sparks and cleaned 1.86 m during the qualification test held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
Mr.
Satyanarayana, who has played a role in the Awakening of Mariyappan, emits the belief that this time, India has the opportunity to reach all three medals in the F-42 category.
In the Rio2016 game, India Varun Singh Bhati was also finished on the podium with a bronze medal.
This time, India hopes to be better than their last game calculation of four medals (2 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze) and has set a target to win 10 medals in Tokyo.
Devendra Jhjhariya and Sandeep Chaudhary also qualified for their Javelin events each with a world throwing world record.
However, because these records come in trial events, they are not approved.
However, the subtle forms that have been shown by the athletes, gave a lot of hope for Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
Mariyappan was born in the village of Periavadagampatti in the Salem Nadu district.
He is one of six children (four brothers and sisters).
His father reportedly left the family early, and his mother, Saroja, raised his children as a single mother, carrying bricks as laborers until he became a vegetable seller, producing Rs.
100 a day.
At the age of five, Mariyappan suffered permanent disability at his right leg when he was hit by a drunk bus driver while walking to school; The bus destroys his legs under the knee, causing it to be hampered.
Even though there was a big setback, he finished high school.
He once said, “I don’t see myself different from the capable kids.”
