NEW DELHI: Following Delhi government introduced plans to get limited reopening of town, dealers are sad to hear that both markets will stay closed.
Traders assert that like factories and businesses, there are hundreds and hundreds of daily wage employees connected with retail and wholesale markets making their livelihoods by unloading and loading goods to a daily basis and also have been denied some labour for the last 40 days.
Shopkeepers also said that delay in consent for opening of markets will automatically create it hard for them to cover wages of the employees.
“Even if the stores open, clients will not come all of a sudden.
But we could at least transportation goods or provide orders to local sellers,” explained Devraj Baweja of Sadar Bazar Traders Association.
The Confederation of All India Traders has made a decision to call a meeting Saturday and request that the authorities to permit operations.
CAIT secretary general Praveen Khandelwal said that because the positivity rate is approximately 1.
5 percent, the economies must have been permitted to start in a phased way.
Even the Chamber of Industries of Dealers chairman Brijesh Goel stated that decisions concerning closing and opening of actions during lockdown are accepted by the DDMA rather than the authorities or CM.
“DDMA is supplied by the LG and we’ll write for him to enable the introduction of markets together with limitations,” he explained.
