Trichy: Trichy City Police have arrested a 27-year-old married man because of stalking and teasing a student who forced him to try suicide.
Police Inspector P Azeem Police Station Golden Rock All-Woman Catch B Purusthaman Under the protection section of children from sexual violations (Pocso) acting to constantly follow, watch and contact a 15-year-old girl either directly or through electronic or digital or other ways.
The police also ordered Purusothaman’s RAM friends who accompanied him in crime.
RAM has not been arrested.
The police said the girl was a class IX student at a government school in Trichy.
Purusothaman followed the girl and tried to talk to him.
He also called the mother of the girl through a cellphone.
The police said RAM also teased the girl on behalf of Purusothaman.
Constant stalker by the girl’s frustrated Purusotham.
He consumed rat poison to end his life.
He was saved and treated at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMGH) in Trichy on October 21.
Inspector Azeem said the girl was recovered.
Acting on his complaint from the hospital, the police took action against the defendant.
Police investigations revealed that Purusthaman married and had two children.
Inspector Azeem said Purusothaman had pressed the girl to marry her.
His family members have warned him about legal action, he added.
