Marti MP without a mask claims the practice of ‘Agnihotra’ makes the immunity strong

Bhopal: Minister of Madhya Pradesh Usha Thakur answered questions about not wearing a mask in the midst of Covid-19 cases by claiming the immunity strong because he had practiced ‘Agnihotra’, or ‘fire healing’, the ritual was done to purify the air and its surroundings, for 30 last year.
Speaking to reporters in Khandwa on Monday, Thakur, the country’s cultural minister, also said Gamchha (cotton towels) doubled as a mask for him.
“My daily routine for the past 30 years includes doing Agnihotra every day at sunrise and sunset, which increases my immunity so that viral attacks do not create problems for me,” he said.
Because he was asked that he looked unhealthy when he visited Khandwa last, Thakur said he went down cold at the time and did not suffer a viral attack.
His statement was widely distributed on social media on Tuesday.
In May last year, he has won headlines in the middle of a pandemic by asking people to do ‘Havan’ (fire-based rituals) to purify the environment, claiming that such actions to eliminate the outbreak are tradition since ancient times.
In April, a video showed he appeared ‘Puja’ in front of the statue of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar at Indore airport to ward off Covid-19.
In March last year, he said that the adoption of “Vedic Lifestyle” would protect against Coronavirus and do ‘Havan’ with cow dung cake to keep sanitation homes for 12 hours.
