Maruti Suzuki saw the adverse effects on production in November

Ahmedabad: Maruti Suzuki India Limited on Saturday stated that the company hoped for a bad impact on the production of vehicles in its factory in Haryana and its parent factory Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) in Gujarat in November.
Vehicle production in this plant is expected to be affected due to semiconductor deficiencies.
“Because of the constraints of supply of electronic components because of the situation of semiconductor deficiency, the company expects a bad impact on vehicle production in November 2021 in both Haryana and contract manufacturing companies, Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMG) in Gujarat,” said Maruti Suzuki in submission with BSE.
Ending the situation as quite dynamic, the largest car maker in the country noted in archiving that according to the estimated total volume of vehicle production in both locations could be around 85% of the normal launch.
SMG Gujarat, which supplies vehicles exclusively for Maruti Suzuki, has an installed production capacity of 7.5 lakh units per year.
Domestic sales Maruti Suzuki slipped 54.9% to 68,815 units in September from 1,52,608 units in the same month last year due to lack of electronic components.
