Maruti’s sales fall; Tata Motors reported a 94% increase in Dhanteras

New Delhi: The leader of the Maruti Suzuki Indian car market on Wednesday said it was sold around 13,000 units on Dhanteras Day, lower than last year to be hampered by supply constraints due to the lack of semiconductors, even though Tata Motor said the delivery grew 94 percent.
Fada Body Car Dealer on Tuesday called the current celebration season the worst in business in a decade for retail partners throughout the country as a shortage of chips has an impact on passenger vehicles creating a large shortage of vehicles in SUVs, Compact – SUVs and luxury segments.
“Requests and reservations are good.
We try our best to provide as much vehicle as possible.
But because the supply side constraints we closed slightly lower than last year, around 13,000 units,” Maruti Suzuki India Senior Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) Shashank Srivastava said to PTI.
On the other hand, Auto Tata Motors Homegrown has a good day on Dhanteras on Tuesday.
“On Dhanteras’s luck day, our shipments almost doubled compared to last year, because of our strong demand for our ‘new’ range, including newly launched punches and EVS.
Throughout India, our shipments grow by 94 percent.” President Tata Motor, passenger vehicle Shailesh Chandra business unit.
However, he did not reveal the right sales number for that day.
Multi-brand certified car company, Mahindra First Choice Wheels Ltd said it delivered a record of 1,028 units in Dhanteras through more than 1,100 dealers in more than 300 cities in India.
“The festive season this year has been extraordinary because the brand has registered 40 percent growth.
We are overwhelmed with traction on our e-commerce platform which has contributed 25 percent with our total sales during this celebration period,” Mahindra’s first choice wheel.
Executive Director and CEO Ashutosh Pandey said in a statement.
On the prospect, he said, “We believe that this request will continue to surge until the end of the financial year and we hope to support consumers to find their vehicles through our strong online and offline channels.” MG India’s motorbike has stated that it gives more than 500 assadeable medium-sized units of Astor to customers during the day of luck.
This particularly specifically considering the lack of acute chips, MG Motor India said in a statement that added it was trying “the best to increase the availability to meet the initial target of 4,000-5,000 delivery on December 2021”.
The Federation of Car Dealer Associations (Fada), which represents more than 15,000 car dealers that have more than 26,500 outlets throughout the country, have said on Tuesday that the situation lack of chips has had an impact on the passenger vehicle segment.
“This is the worst celebration season that has been seen by Retail of India in the last decade.
Chip deficiency has an impact on PV creating a large shortage of vehicles in SUVs, Compact – SUVs and luxury segments,” said Fada President Vinkesh Gulati.
