NEW DELHI: As six-time world winner MC Mary Kom prepares for its forthcoming Olympic Games, she rues the absence of sparring spouses and caliber contests as a result of pandemic.
“There aren’t a lot of foreign competitions.
Thus, I decided to attend to the Asian Boxing Championships at Dubai.
I competed at the Boxam Tournament at Spain two weeks back and since then I have been coaching at house in India,” the 38 years old Indian fighter told AIBAthat the world governing body of this game.
Mary Kom has qualified at the 51kg class.

“Lots of my spouses have tested positive.
Should you win, you do not need to overestimate the success: simply keep your hard work.
I’m not overconfident, and’m excited about the final from the renowned Kazakh fighter (Nazym Kyzaibay in the Championships),” explained Mary Kom.
Mary Kom has five variations of this Asian Boxing Championships and will be awaiting winning another name.
The veteran fighter had a challenging semi-final competition against Mongolia’s Lutsaikhan Altantsetseg, but acquired the difficult bout 4-1 split choice.
Last month, the Boxing Federation of India needed to shut the nationwide women’s boxing camp at New Delhi after intervening in virus instances.
The camp has been relocated into the Army Sports Institute Pune, also declared on May 6.
Mary Kom was the very first to document, but her private trainer Chhote Lal Yadav, could not join the camp since he tested positive for Covid-19.
The boxing trainer needed to experience a 15-day quarantine in New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
“The practice was interrupted as the fighters needed to spend per week before stepping outside for coaching according to Covid-19 protocols of this Army.
We only got one great week to prepare for Asian match,” stated a national trainer of the Indian group.
