Panaji: With Novenas scheduled to start next month for the St Francis Xavier party at Old Goa, the Church authorities have discussed the SOP because worshipers to comply with the upcoming hearing.
After holding the online sermon last year because of the norm of pandemic, this year’s mass will be held in physical mode.
While setting outdoor seating can usually accommodate around 10,000 people, only 50% of worshipers will be permitted in an effort to ensure that there is a social distance between the attendees in the church where FR Patricio Fernandes said, the Chancellor of the Basilica of Jesus Bombing, Old Goa.
“Only those wearing masks will be allowed inside and they will be encouraged to clean themselves,” he said.
Previously, back to the back of Novenas was held in a day to accommodate worshipers who attended prayers from regions far from Goa.
However, this year’s Basilica can make changes in the way in which the entire process is set.
“Everything is different now and we have to adapt to new normal.

Even kiosks lined outside the church will be placed far to ensure security.
Preparation of party mass days – on December 3 – also taken, the SOP will be formulated immediately.
