Masks lack miracles raising concerns in a surge in Kolkata

Kolkata: While many people announced the city’s hotspot on Christmas, a large number of the people of the people ventured without a mask that had left the doctor and experts worried when the Omicron case was detected in the city.
Dispose of masks in the big church that this city is now watching – hot spots spill with visitors on Sundays too – can cause bursts of infection immediately, they warn.
TimesViewa most revelers seem to forget that we still experience a critical phase in our struggle against viruses.
This will be a miracle if the party is less likely not to lead to uptick.
“This is a worrying trend that more people come out in the open, the more they throw away the mask.
It must be mandatory when we witness the surge in omicron cases.
So far, Omicron patients have mild infections but if they are allowed to survive and circulate in the population, It can turn off malignant and trigger the next wave, “Warned RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) intensivist Sauren Panja.
The next two weeks can be very important and lead to a surge, said the Director of the King Dhar Cmri Pulmonology Hospital.
“We are afraid of surges and not using masks can have fatal consequences at this time.
We must always use it, stay away from those without one and generally avoid all trials,” Dhar added.
Dhar added that a drop in the number of cases there was no reason to throw masks.
“Variants in circulation and we need to guard against it.
All COVD protocols must now be used, especially masks,” he said.
The best way to avoid infection at the time of surge might soon wear a mask, said Belle Vue Clinic Internal Medicine Consultant Rahul Jain.
“In addition to keeping social, wearing masks is the best choice for controlling variants like Omicron,” Jain said.
A microbician shows that the festival and other churches always look masks thrown away and are always followed by bursts of infection.
“This happened after the last Christmas period in Kolkata and was repeated after the election in April triggered the second wave.
By pulling a mask, we might accelerate the onset of the next wave,” he said.
Masks serve two goals – protect you from infection and protect the people around you from viral attacks, Dhar added.
“If you are healthy then the mask must be used while traveling with public transportation or visiting a place where a large number of people tend to gather.
This mask can be anything, even a paper mask covering your mouth and nose adequately,” Dhar said.
But if you are getting closer from six feet into covid patients or one with symptoms, the N 95 mask or surgical mask is mandatory, he added.
“So, besides doctors, hospital staff or infected family members, the rest can use any mask,” feel Dhar.
The Mask N 95 is likely to provide the best protection because it is designed to block 95% of germs, shows the RN Tagore International Institute of Cardiac Sciences (RTIICS) Consultant Arinda Biswas.
“If you suffer from colds, the mask is a must even in the quarantine of the house.
The rest must also use N 95 if they visit a meeting or travel with public transportation,” said Biswas.
But for the rest, the surgical mask should be enough.
But not a paper mask or handkerchief.
While paper tends to be wet very quickly, the handkerchief is stored on the table, table and bed and tends to spread infection, “said Biswas.
