Hyderabad: The Huzurabad people came out and chose large amounts on Saturday, making a lot of wondering whether it was still the battle of the neck and neck as expected or if the voter handed over an easy victory to one of the two sides.
Until 7 nights were 86.33% of the 2.37 Lakh voters had inked.
Election Commission officials said that there are still many people in the queue after the deadline and the percentage of voting will increase slightly when the final numbers enter.
All the same, 86.33% is the highest Huzurabad has chosen so far.
In 2014, the constituency had seen 77.54% chose.
This rose to 84% in 2018 when chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao went for the initial election which resulted in a landslide victory for TRS.
At that time, Eatala had won seats easily for TRS.
Infan, the constituency of the Palair in Khamman has set a type of record by recording 92.1% voting.
Huzurabad by-election is seen as a grudge between KCR and Trs Turncoat Eatala Rajender.
Elela, who fought BJP tickets, had resigned from TRS and as MLA after KCR dropped it from the cabinet on charges of corruption and land grabbing.
Victory for TRS here will present the presence of approval for KCR’s prosperity politics.
However, if Eatala defeated Trs’ Gellu Srinivas Yadav, it will form BJP as the main opposition in Telangana and Galvanized in front of the assembly election of 2023.
It will also be the setback of the third major election for TRS in less than a year after losing the assembly of Dubbak by election and Hyderabad polls.
On Saturday night, both BJP and TRS claimed they would appear as elections by selection.
Telangana’s chief election officer Shashank Goel said that pollings were largely peaceful.
“Initially, we had a technical problem with EVMS in some polling booths, but we had six limited electronic electronic engineers with standby and they cleaned the interference.” Both TRS and BJP filed complaints against each other with the election commission that accused the election malpractice.
“The case was ordered in all violations,” Goel said.
