Gurgaon: Maulvi has been ordered for allegedly persecuting a nine-year-old girl in the mosque in Patudi.
On Monday afternoon, a group of villagers faced Maulvi after the girl allegedly told her parents that she had touched it inappropriately.
Video, recorded by one of the villagers, said that Maulvi begged mercy and said he had touched the girl.
The man who recorded the video insisted that the girl was persecuted in the mosque.
This video also showed the 35-year-old man, wearing a white kurta and pajamas, flashing his aadhaar card and said he was from above.
When the crowd swelled outside the mosque, the police team rushed to the village and saved Maulvi.
At night, the girl made a complaint of the police.
“Around 12:30 a.m., my daughter went to the mosque to give food.
The main Maulvi wasn’t there.
Another Maulvi held my daughter’s hand and dragged her towards her.
He also kissed it.
My daughter ran to us and narrated what happened,” said the mother .
The girl has three siblings.
ACP (Pataudi) Veer Singh said they had recorded the girl’s statement and submitted a case below Section 8 Act Pocso (sexual violence).
