New Delhi: Mauritius Former PM Navinchandra Ramgoolam flew to Delhi on Wednesday (September 8) on the charter for urgent covid care in AIIMS.
His condition was studied for serious.
Spicejet said it operated “special medical evacuation flights (which have) three doctors and paramedics on the boat and Boeing 737 equipped with emergency equipment including ventilators, oxygen cylinders, and special Isolation Pods to shift the patient.” The airline flew B737 from Chennai to Port Louis, Mauritius.
This aircraft made a fast turnaround at Port Louis and the flight back to Delhi was operated through Thiruvananthapuram.
Spicejet Cmd Ajay Singh said this flight was operated on “very short notice.” “(IT) is one of the longest flights that have been operated by our B737 aircraft.
We hope and pray for fast and full ramgool recovery,” said Singh.
“To meet critical medical requirements, Spicejet facilitates complete medical facilities and special equipment on aircraft including a team of three doctors, one paramedic and ventilator, oxygen cylinders, drugs to fulfill all emergency situations.
The aircraft also carries a special pod isolation to shift the patient .
The aircraft for this particular charter with several specialized medical requirements prepared at a very short notice by the Spicejet team.
Spicejet has also made an ambulance and a standby doctor for any emergency situation at the airport, “the airline said in a statement.
