Srinagar: Chief of the National Conference of Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday indirectly extended support to the Taliban said he hoped the group would provide good governance and respect human rights in Afghanistan.
“I hope they (Taliban) will give good governance and follow the principles of Islam in the country (Afghanistan) and respect human rights.
They must try to develop friendship relations with each country,” said the National Conference Head while responding to questions at Afghanistan.

The National Conference Party paid their tribute to the founder of the Sheikh Party Mohd Abdullah on his 39th birthday, where Abdullah called him ‘Sher-e-Kashmir’, he hoped that Kashmir’s young man would follow in his footsteps and contributed to his development and Kashmir peace .
“I congratulate party workers and observers who conduct elections in parties, this process makes the party live,” Abdullah said.
“We don’t know when the election of the country but the national conference will not be left behind in participating in the election process,” he added, ensuring that the party will oppose the poll.
All workers and party leaders including Omer Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah from the National Conference was present in Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar.
