Mayawati demands a SC investigation monitored to the Pegasus line

Lucknow: Head of BSP Mayawati on Thursday demanded an investigation monitored by the Supreme Court into Pegasus Spyware controversy, a day after 14 opposition parties including Congress, Shiv Sena, left, RJD and the Samajwadi Party joined the BJP in power over alleged telephone hacking scandals.
Mayawati said that the main problems relating to the welfare of the community and farmers excel in the ongoing Monsun Parliament session after a raging face-off between BJP in power and opposition.
“Apart from the request of opposition, the center does not want to conduct an investigation,” he said.
Head of BSP said that his party urged the Apex Court to acknowledge the controversy and obtained an investigation carried out so that the reality came before the people.
Previously, the Head of TMC and Minister of Bengal Bengal Barat Mamata Banerjee had pitched SC investigations monitored into the scandal after the meeting with PM Narendra Modi two days ago.
As reported by several media parts, Mamata Abhishek Banerjee’s nephew is also between potential spyware targets.
On Wednesday, the leader of Congress Rahul Gandhi had released a frontal attack on PM Modi accused him of “putting weapons to the phone” because he used it to “hit the spirit of Indian democracy”.
He also accused the government tried to silence the demands of opposition for discussion in parliament.
