Lucknow: Head of BSP Mayawatilost, his mother Ramrati (92) for a prolonged illness on Saturday.
His cremation is scheduled to take place in Delhi on Sunday.
The news was issued by the National Party Secretary General and MP Satish Chandra Mishra who said Ramrati was undergoing treatment at Delhi Hospital and died of heart failure.
The party’s sources said that immediately after getting the news of his mother’s death, the former main minister went to Delhi and paid his last imposition to his mother.
“Behenji is very close to his parents and after losing his father in 2020, he has directed party workers not to celebrate his birthday this year, which is usually a big event for us,” said a party member.
