Bengaluru: In a direct challenge of the sequential government in Maharashtra who has claimed that the BELOGIVAs must be part of their country, the Minister of Chief Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said the state was ready to include all Panchayats, Taluks or Districts dominated by Kannataka to Karnataka if they graduated Resolution in this case.
Controversial statement by CM remembers the debate about border disputes and language lines in Besavav which has taken violence for the past four days.
Quoting that Maharashtra’s political clothes have tried to sweep the time of border disputes and again for political advantage, CM Bommai said Karnataka has received reports of Justice Mahajan in the case of border disputes but also ready to protect the interests of the Kannadianga community in the border region of neighboring countries.
CM BOMMAI cites the example of 40 grams of Panchayats in Jath Tehsil from Sangli Regency in Maharashtra who has passed the resolution to be added to Karnataka after they express their disappointment about the situation it cannot provide water for irrigation.
“Now, this dry land area is nominated by Kannadiga, has passed the resolution to be added to Karnataka.
We (Karnataka) are ready to include all these areas, except for the areas mentioned in the Mahajan report where the status quo must be maintained,” said Bommai.
He said the country was always trying to maintain friendly relationships with Maharashtra but did not succeed in the border areas which remained tense for years, since the birth of Maharashtra Ekikarna Samiti (MES).
“Even though it was once a strong center of power, his influence had diminished in the Biasaavi and border disputes seem to be the way to try to get back to influence.
However, it has been rejected by the district community,” he said.
CM Bommai, on the demands of the prohibition of MES, said he would look into this matter and secure legal opinion in this matter.
CM, during his statement at Border Row also said he would talk to his colleague at Maharashtra to resolve legal and order issues in that situation because Kannadigas had been targeted in this matter.
