Hyderabad: Representatives from the Telugu film industry urged the state government to provide a minimum amount as parking fees while stating that they were waiting for opening open in neighboring Andhra Pradesh also before reopening the theater.
Telangana State Commerce Chamber (TSFCC) said one of the main sources of income for theater was parking fees that contributed 40% of income.
In the representation to the Head of Secretary of Somesh Kumar on Monday, Secretary of Honor of Sunil Narang’s room also explained how the cinema had blew because of the pandemic and lock in the past two years.
With theater which was not opened even though the government raised the locking two weeks ago, Somesh Kumar held a meeting with the Daggubati Suresh Babu filmmaker, Dil Raju and others to ask what prevented them from reopening the cinema.
M Vijendar Reddy, the owner of the theater and former president of the Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce, said various problems related to the industry were explained to CS by representatives.
“Also described that it would not be profitable to release a new film only in Telangana and that the film industry was waiting for a kuncian to be appointed at the AP,” Vijendar said.
Representatives urged the government to reduce GST GST states and vacancies for the cinema room in Telangana because the theater was closed for a long time so they did not need to pay property taxes over the past two years.
Representatives also want the government to reduce film shooting rates in different locations throughout the state.
