New Delhi: After four years of responsibility for the Senior National Women’s Indian team, Maymol Rocky’s head coach has resigned from his role for personal reasons.
Maymol, who took control of the head coach in 2017 after serving as an assistant coach, led the team to a number of international successes and saw them growing rapidly in recent years.
Speaking to www.the-aiff.com, he thanked the Federation for “Trust” in his ability.
“I sincerely thank the Indian football federation to believe in me and the team for years.” I am very happy to see the progress we have made in recent years.
The facilities we get are always very good and the support we get from the Federation, Indian Sports Authority (SAI), and the Odisha government has become the key to our success, “said Maymol.
Secretary AIFF General Kushal Das added:” Maymol Rocky has declared his inability to continue As coach of the head of the senior national women’s football team for personal reasons.
“We accept his decision and thank him for his contribution to Indian football.
Warm greetings to his future business.” The former Indian international, Maymol called his duty as a “best phase” his career and praised the team’s efforts so far.
“If I look back, we do have our ups and downs but this is of course the best phase in my career.
The team has grown rapidly when I joined and I have also grown with the team.” The experience that the players and I have arrived from the national team have been extraordinary.
I am happy that the team meets expectations and players always giving the best in every session and matching us playing, “Maymol is maintained.
The Indian women’s national team created history in November 2018 by making it through the second round of the Olympics.
Qualifies for the first time.
They won the title in the championship Women Saff in 2019 and a gold medal in South Asian games in Nepal.
With India will host the AFC Asian Cup for the first time, Maymol revealed warm greetings for the team for the tournament.
