Bhubaneswar: After the results of the NEET to enter the undergraduate medical program declared on Monday, the official source said that online counseling for chairs in Odisha will begin soon.
Receipts will be made for a 1450 MBBS seat at Odisha this year, up from 1350 years ago.
New medical colleges established in Puri will provide 100 additional seats.
Odisha has eight medical colleges and two countries managed by the state with 1,450 seats, in addition to the 500 seats two deemed-to-be universities.
While Odisha Odisha entrance (OJEE) authorities hold counseling for 10 medical colleges (including two personal), universities that are considered to have separate settings to enter their 500 MBBS seats.
SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, and MKCG Medical College and Hospital, all of them, have 250 MBBS of their respective seats, while The Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Education and Research (Vimsar), Burla, has 200 seats.
Likewise, medical colleges in Coraput and Bari have 125 MBBS, while those in Ballanir, Ballasore and Puri each have 100 seats.
“Sri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital in Puri is scheduled to accept this year, but a letter from the government regarding participation in medical counseling has not yet arrived.
After we get permission, we will make acceptance this year,” said an official of the Directorate of Medical Education and Training ( DMET).
The Medical Council Committee under the Union of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will issue a notification of the seating process for the All-India quota.
Students who qualify in NEET UG 2021 can take part in the counseling process.
